Baby Balash

Hey ya beautiful people.

Did you know we're expecting baby girl number 2 come Mid-March?

That means that I will be on maternity leave in March and April, and will start taking sessions again in May! I also have a few slots left for 2018 weddings, specifically looking at the June/July months. You can email me for wedding collection pricing at Jordanbalash@gmail.com

bump update | the babe

I have an Official OFFICIAL last bump update for you all, seeing as 'the bump' has now arrived! We are so so excited to have welcomed Miss Arlo Eloise Balash into the world on January 28th at 11:11am. I can't believe it's already been a week since we met this little beauty. I'll be posting many more photos soon, but for now.. here's just a few.

bump update | the wait

38 weeks.

The hospital bag is packed (and has been for two weeks). The house has been cleaned from top to bottom twice (and I still keep finding things to clean, I'm in full blown nesting mode). We've managed to narrow our list of names down to four (haha - give or take). Expiration dates on the food in our refrigerator have now surpassed my due date. Hormones have me feeling pretty irritable and the suspense of when this thing is gonna go down is starting to make the days feel pretty long .

But it seems we're as prepared as we could ever be, so for now, we wait.

I imagine that the next month will be pretty quiet around my blog and facebook page. I will be taking sessions again in March, and though there may be a slight delay, I will be doing my best to keep up on emails and messages throughout February. A notice to my 2015 Senior's parentsAs of March 1st, print prices (through your client gallery) will be changing. Now is the time to order prints in order to get the 2014 pricing.

winter bookings

A little bit of business round up:

I've had a lot of people ask if I'm still booking sessions because of my pregnancy. The answer is, absolutely. Though my due date is February 6th, I haven't given myself a cut off date as to when I'll stop booking sessions. Let's book some snowy portraits, family portraits during the holidays, newborn sessions, or boudoir sessions! Though March- May is my slower season, I will also still be taking on sessions come mid/late March, so don't hesitate to contact me.

You may have noticed the giveaway happening on my facebook page right now.  I normally don't do giveaways because they make me feel like a bad 70's game-show host, butttt I *still* have openings for  2015 weddings and am trying to spread the word. I am looking to book at least 2-3 more weddings for next year, so if you are a bride/groom or know someone looking for a wedding photographer, I'm your gal! I would love to continually book more weddings each year and further grow my business. I have learned so much over the past 5 years of shooting weddings, (especially this past year), and I am itching to learn and grow more as an artist!  Visit my facebook page, share and comment on the giveaway photo to be entered to win a FREE photo session!

Here's a few snaps of my handsome husband, just because I like him.

(This is something that's happened probably a handful of times in the 8 years that we've been together, so let's all just accept this as a Christmas Miracle)

bump update | currently feeling feelings

Thirty Weeks.

Currently:

Major Sciatic Nerve Pain.

Are sweatpants acceptable in public?

(I always thought I would be a super stylish, always cute, pregnant lady. No. I want to live in sweats.)

Nursery. Baby Names. So many things to get done.

Waistline, will you ever return to me? (and on the note:)

Give me all of the food.

Labor: looking forward to that! (Said no one, ever.)

Grunting like an arthritic old lady every time I have to move.

Is it February yet?

Thirty Weeks. Currently feeling feelings.
