My brother is a senior, you guys.We ventured through Utica for his portraits on a Sunday afternoon. Our Mom tagged along, making her mom side comments (as moms do- love you, mom) and we laughed with her and at her while I forced Ethan to pose in a million different places and pretend he was having fun. Also, spoiler alert: there's a few fancy glamour shots with my parent's cats in this post (you're welcome).

Utica Train Station
My husband's cousin (so, my cousin-in law?) and her fiancé, Dave, met up with me in downtown Utica for their engagement session. Possibly THE best thing a photographer can hear from the groom-to-be during an engagement session is 'this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be', or that they felt really comfortable. So when Dave said this to me towards the end of our session, I was SO glad. I've said it many times before, it is definitely not natural to have someone pose you and then stick their camera in your face. It's understandable to be nervous or uneasy before a session like this, and I love being able to make couples feel comfortable in front of my lens! I am really looking forward to shooting Dave and Jenna's Brewery wedding in the fall.
