I am so excited to share another rescue story with you all! This little lady's name is Avi (pronounced like Abby, with a 'v'). She was adopted from a shelter in Colorado, and has since traveled across the country with her mom and dad, visiting over ten national parks (!), and eventually landing in New York with them. What I find so beautiful about rescue animals is that they always seem to find a way to their people, as if they know they are meant for them before they've even met. Avi was brought into the shelter as a stray, still lactating as a result of having puppies. Her mom and dad had met her and fell in love, but because of the shelter's waiting period policy, she was almost adopted by another family. As fate would have it, the family ultimately decided she wasn't a right fit for them, and her mom and dad scooped her up. You'll notice below that Avi has one expression on her face in all of these photos, which is so funny to me because it is such a testament to her laid back, chill personality.
You can see more rescued stories here. Stay tuned as I add more to this series.
