frequently asked questions

Where are you located and do you travel?

I live just north of Rome NY and I am happy to travel for sessions and weddings! I base my fees on travel time - my sessions and wedding pricing include varying complimentary travel. (read more about that here)

How many images will I receive?

The number of edited images you’ll receive can vary for sessions and weddings.. Wedding galleries will produce anywhere from 400-700 edited images and sessions will produce 60+ images, depending on how much time we spend together. I do not give out unedited, raw images from sessions or weddings, because the culling and editing of your images is a whole lotta the magic. BUT, no magical moment left behind! I try to include as many memories as possible within your gallery.

What should I wear to my session?

Giirrrrl, (or boyyyyy), I gotchu. I would love to send you my guide on what to wear. Most importantly, you should be comfortable and feel like yourself in the clothing you choose to wear for your session. *Bonus points if your clothing allows you to dance and run and frolic in fields with me while we’re shooting your session! I love a good field frolic, ya’ll.

How long have you been a photographer?

Let me weave you a tail of a young girl who picked up her mother’s film camera and fell in love… jkjk, I won’t do that (but that would probably be the beginning of my E! True Hollywood Story). I have been photographing weddings and sessions for over a decade. I taught myself how to use a DSLR camera in high school, and have been growing as a photographer/small business owner since then.

How soon will we receive our images?

ASAPASAP - but more specifically, I aim to have your edited images returned to you within 2 weeks, and wedding images within 4-6 weeks. For wedding and portrait sessions, you’ll receive the edited images via an online proofing site that allows you to download your images and order prints, if you chose to do so.

Can we bring our dog to our session?

YES. I love doggos and absolutely think yours should be included in your session. You can even bring your pet cat/fish/goat/cow, I love all the creatures.

Do you work with a second shooter?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Most wedding days, I photograph solo. Second shooters can come in handy with larger weddings, longer wedding days or timelines that require an additional photographer to be in another location. I’m happy to provide some insight to my clients regarding their wedding day timeline and if a second shooter would be beneficial. I have a few great photographer buds that I reach out to when a client is interested in including a second shooter. Second shooter fees are not included in my wedding collections

What about location?

I have some favorite “go to” locations for sessions. With that being said, I love shooting in different locations and being inspired by new surroundings. But even better; let’s get personal with the location. Let’s climb a mountain, go to your favorite coffee shop, explore a local state park that you love, or shoot in your home. I would love to work together to figure out what type of location feels most ‘you’.
